During last night’s Season 5 premiere of ‘Teen Mom 2’ it’s finally revealed that Leah Calvert’s daughter Ali has a rare and incurable form of muscular dystrophy. There was hope when Ali began walking but sadly as she gets older and bigger the disease will progress and her muscles wont be able to carry her weight. Ali will need a wheelchair, which is why Leah and Jeremy will be selling their home and moving into a home that is more wheelchair accessible.
Leah tells InTouch “We were scared because we didn’t know what her future was going to look like, but we always pushed for answers. We never gave up, and we never will. We’ll do everything we can to make sure Ali has the life that she needs.”
i dont know if leah will ever see this but i also have Muscular Dystrophy im sorry about Aliannah’s disorder but at least you have an answer and you have a great MDA family behind you . They do truely help out a lot. Hope all is well with you guys.
Much love
Ami
At least her fears and anxiety are lessened by the knowledge of MDA as her daughter’s diagnosis.
