Will Amber Portwood Appear on the New Season of ‘Teen Mom OG?’ Her Mysterious Exclusion from the Season 8B Trailer

During the reunion special for ‘Teen Mom 2’ MTV aired a sneak peak of the upcoming season of ‘Teen Mom OG.’ In the trailer Catelynn Lowell, Maci Bookout, and Cheyenne Lloyd react to the news that Amber Portwood had been arrested for allegedly attacking her boyfriend Andrew Glennon on the Fourth of July.

What the trailer didn’t show was ANY footage of Amber, Andrew or their families. Just a single mugshot of Amber taken after her arrest. This lead me to wonder whether or not Amber will be appearing on this season. Are there legal reasons that would cause her to not be able to film? OR that would keep MTV from being allowed to air the footage? Will we get to see the whole story of what has gone down between Amber and Andrew?? I have a lot of questions.

The good news is that MTV cameras HAVE been filming with Amber. Back in July TMZ caught MTV filming Amber (and the other girls from the show) while she attended her initial court hearing for the incident. The cast of ‘Teen Mom OG’ including ex boyfriend, and father of their daughter, Gary Shirley rallied around the troubled star immediately after the news broke.

It was also later reported that Andrew Glennon started filming with MTV in early November. Even after making several disparaging comments about the network for continuing to work with Amber after all that had happened.
“Shove a baby, win a job. Attack your family, win a job. These corporations apparently are in full support of domestic violence in the presence of a minor.” Andrew wrote to Instagram.

Andrew and Amber have both been separately filming about their fall out and the custody battle that followed. So MTV’s exclusion of them from the trailer was most likely to build mystery and to not give too much away. They also may not have had enough footage ready for the sneak peak at the time it aired.
