‘Teen Mom 2’ star Kailyn Lowry recently announced her 4th pregnancy on Instagram. But did you notice the post was not only to reveal that she is pregnant? It was also a paid advertisement for the Peanut app.
Kail cashed in on her pregnancy news by partnering with Peanut for the post. She also shared some Instagram stories about the app that she was most likely paid separately for.
“We’re confirming the news, baby #4 is coming soon! 🎉I’m almost 16 weeks pregnant & it’s been a rough few months this time around. I’ve had nausea, morning sickness, and absolutely no energy. 😭” Kailyn shared along with a photo of herself and her three sons holding sonogram photos.
“This week I’m starting to feel a bit better and I’m really hoping it stays this way!🤰🏻@Peanut has been an amazing support for me since I found out I was pregnant again. Going through nausea and morning sickness while trying to keep the news a secret can be quite isolating,” Kailyn goes on to explain how the app helped her connect with other moms while also keeping her pregnancy under wraps.
So how much was Kail paid for this post? The numbers may shock you. Social Media Influencers with over 1 million followers can make thousands of dollars just for one sponsored post! Kailyn has almost 4 million followers on Instagram… so she definitely had a big payout for this one.
According to some investigating by The Blast, it’s likely that Kailyn made around $10,000 from her pregnancy reveal post. Possibly even more considering the massive amount of attention this kind of post would get.
Stars of the show have been paid for first photos of their new babies and gender reveals. Unfortunately for Kail her unborn baby’s father, Chris Lopez, has already revealed the gender of the baby. Looks like Kailyn is going to have FOUR sons.
