Yup, Jenelle Eason (Evans) is finally spilling the tea on her relationship with David Eason. In a new Q&A video shared to her YouTube (watch at the bottom of this post) Jenelle explains why she left David and why she returned home to “The Land.”
In the video Jenelle answers fan questions in kind of a weird order. She talks about her hair and farm animals with the juicy info on her marriage thrown in here and there. So I’m just gonna break down the parts about David. If you’re interested in hearing about her plans to purchase a cow feel free to watch the full video below.
So the big question is: Are you back with David?
“Yes, me and him are deciding to work things out right now. We’re taking it slowly. Yes I know I came back to North Carolina, yes I’m living here permanently now.”
“The reason why I came back to North Carolina is I can not afford rent and a mortgage. I had to choose one or the other and I have a house here that I own… all of the kids have their own space here, it’s very spacious.”
Jenelle goes on to say that another reason for her return was because the kids missed the many animals still residing on the land. And since her return “things are going pretty smooth.”
Has David changed though?
“A lot of things have changed, me and him have decided to just try and remain positive no matter what and if we have an issue we really need to talk it out.”
What about the alleged abuse?
“I wanna tell you guys that David has never abused the children. He’s never abused me. We’ve always had disagreements and those would turn into big arguments and this is the reason why I decided to go back home and work out my relationship. Because ultimately, it’s for my family.”
Jenelle opens up about the couples reconciliation and what she needed in order to save her marriage.
“When I was in TN, I’m not gonna lie, I contacted David first and I told him, I said I’m sorry. He contacted me back and said ‘for what?’ and I think we just ended things abruptly and I think we need to try and work things out for our family. And he said ‘ok.”
“I told him things have got to change. We cannot be so unhappy. We have to start communicating with each other about our problems and we have to sort it out. We can’t let the same thing keep happening.”
On why she decided to move to Tennessee and separate from David:
“I think things got so bad in our relationship where I was so unhappy that I needed to come out of it. I feel like the only way to come out of it is if I were to distant myself. So I [did that] and then I realized that’s not what I wanted. I needed to work out my marriage. I didn’t want another failed marriage and I just wanted the kids to be happy.”
