In a sneak peek of this week’s ‘Teen Mom OG’ Maci Bookout talks about Bentley needing to keep his weight down in order to stay in his weight class for wrestling competitions.
In the clip Maci explains that in order to “be competitive” he needs to keep his weight under 75lbs. The goal being to go to regionals in his current weight class. She says he’s at 74 and a half pounds so he’s on a “very strict, good, healthy calorie diet. Lots of water. And workouts to actually cut weight.”
When Bentley says he is hungry in the clip, Maci suggests a salad but Bentley wants grilled chicken instead. Maci says “you’ve lost your mind.”
It’s no surprise that Bentley’s dad Ryan disagrees with Bentley trying to lose weight. He says that Bentley should be trying to gain weight and muscle in order to be strong and use technique to win.
His concern, which he had no problem telling Bentley, is that this will stunt his growth and cause him to be a “late bloomer” when he does want to gain weight.
