Here we go again! ‘Teen Mom 2’ star Jenelle Evans has announced that she is leaving her husband David. The couple separated in October of 2019 when Jenelle filed a restraining order against David and moved to Nashville, Tennessee. She moved back to North Carolina and into her home with David in January of 2020 when David agreed to contribute financially and work on their constant fighting.
The news of the couple’s split came on Friday June 12th when David was arrested for allegedly “pistol whipping” a friend of Jenelle’s, James Spivey, who was helping her obtain some of her belongings from their home. David was under the impression that his truck keys were taken by Jenelle and her friends, but they ended up being misplaced by David who found them later.
The warrant for David’s arrest, which was obtained by The Sun, revealed that he was charged with “Assault with a deadly weapon” and “communicating threats.” David allegedly told James, “I will blow your f**king brains out.” According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, both these charges are classified as misdemeanors for now.
David has also filed a criminal summons against James for assault with a deadly weapon. The summons, according to The Sun, claimed James “did assault David Martin Eason with a deadly weapon, a homemade forged coat rack, by pushing the victim and by striking the victim about the left arm with a coat rack made of wood and forged metal (railroad spikes.)“
James’ partner Josh Galloway gave an update on his condition via Twitter. “For everyone that does know James Spivey is my partner, & TMZ leaked his name thru court documents.. he is safe & we are fine. Just sore from the pistol whip incident but he will be more than okay. It will all play out in court.”
Meanwhile Jenelle has announced that she is no longer trying to make things work with David. Jenelle shared to her Facebook page, “I just want to let the public, tabloids, and my fans know that IM OK, IM SAFE AND SO ARE THE KIDS! I’m going to take a few days out to myself to gather my thoughts and focus on what’s going on, so I won’t be on social media much. I love you all for the support that you all have shown me, and I’ll be stronger and better than ever soon!”
According to Celeber Nation, Jenelle is currently staying at a relative’s home while David is staying in her home on “the land.” David was released on an unsecured bond and is due in court for the incident on July 6th. “I’m shaking and saddened by this, it’s time for me to move on from this relationship and find happiness for my kids and myself elsewhere.“
David was also arrested the night before the “pistol whipping” incident for failing to appear in court. The Ashley reports that “his first arrest of the week occurred on Thursday when he failed to show up in court for a misdemeanor charge against him.” This being the “self-towing” incident in which David illegally moved a stranger’s truck who he felt parked too close to his boat. “He was booked into the Columbus County Jail but was quickly released after securing the $`1000 bond.”
Perhaps this will be enough for Jenelle to end things with David for real this time. She has stated that she plans to file another restraining order against David but there is no evidence that she has filed one yet.
