MTV stars Cory Wharton and Taylor Selfridge released their birth vlog today chronicling their experience in giving birth at a hospital during the pandemic. The couple originally filmed the birth to premiere for MTV in the “Teen Mom OG At Home: Cory & Taylor’s Baby Special” that was pulled at the last minute by the network due to Taylors past insensitive tweets.

Taylor addressed the situation in an Instagram post:
“As you guys know already our special didn’t air tonight. I made the decision last week to not film the next season of Teen Mom OG with Cory for the benefit of myself and my daughter. I don’t believe the reality tv lifestyle benefits me any further at this point in my life. With current events being what they are and reality tv being selective in who they apply rules to or what is considered acceptable behavior, I do not have any further respect.
Once again, I apologize for anyone I have hurt or offended in the past. I have addressed my mistakes many times on the network and I would like to move on and continue to be the best version of myself. My past does not define who I am today, and I hope you guys can see the change. Please respect my decision to provide a normal, healthy life for my family.”

Cory took to Instagram live shortly after Taylor and MTV severed ties to announce that their own version of the special would air on their YouTube channel, The Wharton Family.

In the video Cory and Taylor discuss the restrictions they had going into the hospital. Cory was thankfully allowed in the room with Taylor during the birth, but no other family members could be present, even during the labor. Making the best of the situation while wearing their face masks, which were also required, the two performed the “Baby Mama Dance” to kill some time and to have a little fun before getting started!

Things get a little more serious when Taylor is induced and starts the labor process. The two attempted to sleep as much as possible but the excitement keeps them awake. After 22 hours of labor, baby Mila Mae Wharton was born at 9:17pm on April 22, 2020. She weighed 9lbs, 5oz and was 21.3 inches long. She also had a full head of hair! A tear-filled Cory praised Taylor for how strong she was during the birth. “I’m so proud of Taylor, I give her so much credit,” he said.

The rest of the video shows baby Mila going home and meeting her grandparents and big sister Ryder. (Which is absolutely adorable.)
Did Cory Wharton Win ‘The Challenge?’ [SPOILERS]

The video is now available on their YouTube Channel which currently has over 73,000 subscribers. Cory and Taylor will continue sharing videos about their family; however, Taylor and Mila will not appear on any future episodes of ‘Teen Mom OG’ with Cory. Cory has made it clear that he has not ended his relationship with MTV but disagrees with the way they have handled the situation with Taylor.
