‘Teen Mom OG’ Amber Portwood has decided to give up her online presence once again, The MTV star has avoided social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter since the beginning of her time on television as it is damaging to her mental health. Amber is known for her Instagram Live rants when she has been triggered by hateful comments.
Last week Amber announced that she would no longer be taking part in social media, “For my health and mental stability that I have worked so hard to successfully change I will not be a part of this anymore.” She then revealed a new way that she will communicate with fans… on a service called Cameo in which fans can “book” Amber to do shout outs for their friends or family. You can also pay to chat with Amber.
“I’m happy to be a part of the @cameo family and can’t wait to talk to all my amazing fan’s!! See link above to get a personal message from me and of course sending love,” Portwood shared on Instagram.
Many content creators join sites like Cameo or Patreon so they can share content or talk to fans without being subjected to a lot of unsolicited hateful comments. Jenelle Evans recently launched Jenelle’s World, a site for her to post content for paying fans. The site is a lot like Patreon which allows you to choose a tier of how much you want to pay and what you will have access to. (I personally wish that Amber went this route so we could get more daily unfiltered content from her daily life.)
Over on Cameo it looks like Amber was originally charging $100 for her to create a video should out but now the price is listed at $50. This is not to say that people weren’t paying the original price as there are several Cameos up on her page for you to view. There is an option when purchasing to hide your video from Amber’s public profile so it’s hard to say how many videos she’s actually made.
If you are looking to chat with Amber, you can do so for $4.99. (I personally have no idea how the chats work or how long you can chat through Cameo. I apologize for not having that info to share with you!)
