It’s time for another Deboer home build update! ‘Teen Mom 2’ favorites Chelsea and Cole DeBoer are still hard at work building their dream home and have been sharing their journey on their Instagram page: Down Home DeBoers. Chelsea has been popping on there to get opinions on some of the decisions the couple have had to make recently and she’s been showing off some sneak peeks of the future décor.

Since our last update the DeBoers have had windows put in and the walls and ceilings have started to go up. “IT LOOKS LIKE A REAL HOUSE IN HERE NOW AHHHH,” Chelsea gushed on Instagram.

Now that the windows are in and the walls have gone up you can see the layout of the home more clearly. The living room (or family room) boasts a large fireplace and huge floor to ceiling windows that look out on to their gorgeous property. This room seems to be one of the most important rooms for Chelsea and her Christmas dreams.

“Wooooah. We got roofing and WINDOWS! Holy. One of the things we always envisioned for the placement of this house was the view. We wanted to be able to see down the tree line and also be able to look out over the pond. I don’t know how they did it, but they lined this baby up PERFECTLY. Can’t wait to watch all the wildlife go from the trees to the pond 🥰 Another thing that was important to me was CHRISTMAS. TREE. PLACEMENT. And I think we got a pretty shweet spot for a big one of those! A lot of people are asking when our move in date is, and it’s looking like November! Which means we will hopefully get to decorate this house for Christmas this year! Why am I so excited about that?! Lol!”

HIIII! Holy crap. We are so excited for this journey. We don’t know much about building a house, BUT I have been preparing for this for years if you count pinteresting and allllll the farmhouse Instagram pages I follow 😂 . . The MTV couple seem to be having an amazing time working with their building team to create the perfect home for their family. “We went into everything having an idea of what we wanted, but we also both had an open mind. There were a couple times we went in to an appointment with a vision and came out with something completely different (and awesome!) ..other times we went in knowing what we wanted and got exactly that.“
