‘Teen Mom 2’ welcomed her fourth son on July 30th in her first home birth. Her baby boy was born weighing in at 8lbs 15oz and was 22 inches long. At the time she gave birth she did not have a name for her son, which is a common problem for Kail. She did not have a name for her last son, Lux, for several weeks after giving birth to him. Finally it looks like Kailyn has landed on a name: Creed. Meaning “a guiding principle.” Kailyn announced the baby’s name in an Instagram post in which she shows off his new personalized blanket.
Kailyn revealed in a recent Q&A that she enjoyed having baby creed at home instead of at the hospital because she felt more in control. “Everything was on my terms. What my body was telling me to do. I wasn’t connected to a bed. I didn’t have to prevent myself from pushing when i felt i had to, didn’t have to push when my body didn’t have the urge. I controlled everything.”
Kail’s fourth pregnancy will be featured on the upcoming season of ‘Teen Mom 2’ beginning on September 1st. MTV has released both a teaser and full length trailer for the new season. You can watch both of those HERE.
So far there is no word on whether Creed’s father Chris Lopez has had any involvement in the birth or if he has been able to see the baby. This is Kailyn’s second child with Chris Lopez, the two also share their 3 year old son Lux. Kailyn did express before the birth that she did not intend on calling Chris to be present when she went into labor. “As their mother, I know in my heart I’m doing what I believe to be best. I’m sorry if everyone disagrees. … Why would I make the call to someone who has not been helpful, consistent, empathetic or compassionate for the entire 9 months? Says he doesn’t care but thinks he should be included in the birth?”
