‘Teen Mom 2’ star Kailyn Lowry was arrested last month after a domestic incident with her ex-boyfriend Chris Lopez. The Sun reports that Kailyn was arrested for allegedly “punching” Chris repeatedly when she found out he cut their son Lux’s hair without her consent.
According to the report, “the incident took place on September 4 during a custody exchange for their oldest son Lux, 3.”
“Christopher stated that Kailyn and his mother had arranged to have a custodial swap for Lux Lowry at his residence.” When Kailyn noticed Lux’s hair, he claimed she “returned to the residence and started attacking him [and] punching him several times on the head and upper torso because she did not want the child’s hair cut.”
The court papers continued: “Christopher stated that he did not fight back, and that Kailyn then left the residence.”
Chris’s mother and sister were witness to the event and it’s also being reported that his sister attempted to break up the fight.
Kailyn was released from police custody and ordered not to have any contact with Chris. The two already have a protection from abuse order that Kailyn opened against Chris last year for domestic violence.
A representative for Kailyn gave a statement to E! News denying that Kailyn became physical with Chris. “Ms. Lowry has filed a petition for custody in the matter involving her children Lux and Creed. The judge in the Delaware Family Court has ordered the parties to refrain from discussing all domestic matters until after the hearing next year. Currently, Ms. Lowry has been awarded sole custody of the children despite the allegations pending in Family Court. Ms. Lowry does deny all of the allegations but cannot respond specifically at this time due to the orders of the judge.”
Kailyn’s arraignment is scheduled for January 21, 2021.
