‘Teen Mom OG’ stars Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra were absent for the ‘Teen Mom Family Reunion’ spin off series despite their desire to be a part of the show. The couple welcomed their fourth daughter Rya just a week before filming began.
In an interview with Hollywood Life Cate reveals that they considered bringing their newborn baby to California so they could film but decided against that plan for health and safety reasons.
“Tyler and I really wanted to be a part of the show from the start so we could grow closer with some of the girls that we don’t really know that well, and just learn about them and their stories more,“
“Because of COVID and just wanting to be safe — especially with a baby who can’t even get [any of] her vaccinations yet or anything like that — [we realized we] needed to just focus on her,” Lowell explained.
“The first month or few months with a newborn is crazy,” she continued. “You’re sleep-deprived, and your life is just wild. You’re trying to get on a routine, and yeah, so we were really bummed that we couldn’t be there, but we wanted to be so badly.“
Catelynn did make an appearance on the season finale to surprise her fellow ‘Teen Mom’ castmates but understandably skipped the majority of the reunion.
