We’ve seen the battle between Leah Messer and ex-husband Corey Simms over their twin daughters Ali and Aleeah play out on ‘Teen Mom 2’ and it looks like things have finally come to an end. The teen dad never stopped fighting for custody of his daughters and has finally won the case on October 13th according to InTouch.
“Leah only gets the girls on the weekends now,” a family insider told the magazine. “Leah’s really been screwing up since then, so Corey took her back to court. The judge looked at the girls’ school records, which show that they’ve been late for school, and made the change in custody.”
Leah seemed to confirm the news on her twitter account stating, “There’s nothing like actually having actual QUALITY time with my girls, for once. We aren’t running around to apts but INSTEAD… we are having a fun filled weekend together. ENJOYING each other as a family. At the end of the day that’s what matters most !
It’s now being rumored that Leah’s other ex-husband (sigh) plans to seek primary custody of his daughter Addylyn. “Everyone is very worried about Addie. She recently wandered out of the house while Leah was distracted. Thankfully, a police officer found Addie and brought her back home.” The insider claimed. “If [Jeremy] can find [a job] nearby, he’ll go for the same custody arrangement that Corey did.”
As we saw in a recent episode of ‘Teen Mom 2’ season 6, Adam Lind’s ex Taylor was thinking about settling her issues with Adam regarding their daughter Paislee outside of court, much to the dismay of Adam’s other baby mama Chelsea Houska.
According to Teen Mom Junkies, the couple were able to come to an agreement in which Adam has some custody of his daughter Paislee. Adam confirmed in a comment on Facebook that he does have custody of her. Taylor still has physical custody of Paislee but it appears that Adam now has 50% legal custody and a set visitation plan which Taylor confirms is, “every other weekend and one night per week.”
As for Adam’s battle with Chelsea over their daughter Aubree it looks like everything has stayed the same. Adam was denied custody, permission to drive Aubree AND unsupervised visitation with her.
In a brand new sneak peek of ‘Teen Mom 2’ Season 6 Leah and Corey talk about their custody battle. Last season we saw the couple argue over their daughter Ali being repeatedly absent and late for school and appointments. In court Leah was referred to as an incompetent mother and was asked to take a drug test.
“Even though I’m annoyed that I have to take a drug test, I’m relieved that our custody hearing is over,” Leah says in the sneak peek clip. “I’m hoping we can move past this for our girls’ sake.“
“Like I told you from day one, what I was doing was not a personal attack towards you,” Corey says to Leah. “It might have seemed like that, but what I was seeing I just didn’t agree with. I didn’t like the tardies because next year they aren’t going to like tardies in kindergarden.“
“I can’t say that I don’t have hard feelings, because I do,” Leah replied. “Being called an incompetent mother and this and that was really hurtful.“
Corey maintains that he just wants what is best for the girls and suggests they alternate weeks instead of him only having them on the weekend. Leah doesn’t seem to budge on it though. Find out what happens in ‘Teen Mom 2’ Season 6. Premiering tonight at 10pm EST on MTV.
On the sixth season of ‘Teen Mom 2’ we will see even more drama from Chelsea Houska’s ex Adam Lind. This time he’s taking her to court for joint custody of their daughter Aubree.
